Several years ago I when I started with chickens, I saw my very first silkie and knew I needed one. 

I ordered some hatching eggs from across the country, purchased an incubator and hatched out my very first silkies. They quickly became my passion. One of my closest friends is a chicken breeder and talked me into starting a silkie breeding business since silkies were very hard to find in our area. 

I quickly became NPIP Certifed and hit the ground running. I do not show, but I strive for SOP in my breeding pens. 

My husband and I named our ranch W.E. Ranch (Willie and Emily) so when I dove into the silkie world, W.E. Ranch Silkies seemed fitting.
